At Workwear Group, home to iconic brands Hard Yakka KingGee and NNT, sustainability isn’t just a goal, it’s at the heart of what they do.
With a commitment to sourcing cotton from preferred or ‘more sustainable’ sources by 2025, Australian cotton aligns with Workwear Group’s sustainability goals.
That’s why Workwear Group has chosen Australian cotton for its t-shirt range – a premium, sustainable fibre, tough enough to live up to the hard yakka their customers endure every day.
Whether it’s Hard Yakka’s legendary toughness or KingGee’s unbeatable comfort, Australian cotton ensures the tees can handle whatever the job entails.
Cotton Australia welcomed Workwear Group as a licenced partner in 2023, when the brand first launched its Hard Yakka Australian cotton tees.
Workwear Group’s Content Marketing and Communications Manager Jacqui Westwood said Australian cotton was soft, durable and met the business’ stringent testing and compliance requirements.
“The quality of Australian cotton has been a standout for both Hard Yakka and King Gee. We haven’t had any returns due to issues such as shrinkage, colour fastness or tensile strength, which demonstrates the fabric’s reliability,” Jacqui said.
“For Hard Yakka, the swap to Australian cotton confirmed the material’s toughness and durability – key attributes our brand is known for.
“On the KingGee side, customers have praised the natural breathability and softness of the cotton, enhancing the overall comfort and wearability of the products.”
The NNT brand will launch its Australian cotton range by the end of the year.
Cotton Australia’s Brand Relationships Manager Ashley Hollis praised Workwear Group’s commitment to Australian cotton.
“We love having Workwear Group as a licence partner and supporting their journey to reach their sustainability goals by transitioning more products to Australian cotton,” Ashley said.
“Their commitment to hard work is reflected in the quality of their products.”
