Australian Cotton Marks
The Australian Cotton Mark belongs to Cotton Australia, the peak grower body for Australia’s cotton growing industry. Cotton Australia is interested in long-term partnerships with brands, retailers, spinning and fabric mills, manufacturers and designers that want to source Australian cotton, and share its values. These marks are available free of charge to supply chain partners that meet Cotton Australia’s requirements.
Who Can Use the Marks?
For brands and retailers the Australian Cotton Marks can be used to identify and promote finished products containing the required amounts of Australian cotton.
How to Apply
To apply to use the Australian Cotton Marks, retailers and brands must:
- Submit an online application (details will be sent once contact has been made with Cotton Australia)
- Provide minimum traceability requirements including:
- Bale numbers
- Certificate of origin
- Declarations
- Transaction evidence
Approved Applicants
Once an application is approved, applicants are required to:
- Sign a licence agreement granting permission to reproduce the Australian Cotton Marks
- Submit any artwork or marketing materials carrying the Australian Cotton Marks for approval
- Send samples of the finished products to Cotton Australia
Swing Tags and Marketing
A series of swing tag artwork and point of sale material is available to Australian Cotton Mark users to help tell the story of cotton to your customers. Cotton Australia also provides marketing content support to brand partners including photos, video, facts and figures, blog posts, photoshoot locations and cotton industry talent.
